Robin is downloading a file from a website. There are several links on the internet between the website and Robin’s computer. Each link has a maximum speed.

In the diagram below, the yellow circles represent nodes, the website is the green circle marked \(\text{W}\), and Robin’s computer is the orange circle marked \(\text{R}\).

The numbers on the link represent the maximum speed on the link, in \(\text{MBps}\).

The speed at which the file is downloaded is the speed of the slowest link used in the download.

The file will always be sent on the path that provides the fastest download speed, but the file can be sent in either direction along a link.
